The Unfallen, if you don't close your borders to them, can and probably will deploy vine ships toward your border systems and proceed to expand their vine tendrils inward toward.

But here's the thing: everything about them is geared toward expansionism and conquest, not diplomacy. They're supposed to be a pacifist race that uses diplomacy to get benefits.

I find the concept of the Unfallen confusing.
